Train travelers arriving from the north of Indonesia will need to arrive to Banyuwangi before boarding a ferry + bus service to Denpasar. From Denpasar, visitors will need to make further arrangements before reaching their destination of Ubud.

Generally, self-driving in Bali is a cheap and fun experience. If coming from the north, you’ll want to follow Jl. Raya Denpasar Glilimanuk until reaching the exit for Jl. Gulingan in Mengwi. Those arriving via Denpasar should drive north along Jl. Ray Batu Bulan. The journey is 25km long and takes about an hour to complete one-way.
